Solar energy provider Soltech Group has brought online a 5.8-MW solar park in the province of Halland, western Sweden, and is already selling electricity to the local grid.

The project is owned by the company and delivered by its subsidiary Soltech Energy Solutions. According to its press release on Friday, the plant is estimated to bring revenues of roughly SEK 150 million (USD 13.8m/EUR 12.8m) during its operational lifespan of about 40 years.

Oringe solpark is located in Getinge, outside the city of Halmstad, covering some 70,000 sq m of land. It is equipped with 8,780 photovoltaic (PV) panels that are expected to have an annual power output of roughly 5.7 GWh, equal to the electricity demand of about 1,200 homes.

Construction works at the site were initiated in July 2023.

In the past year, Soltech commissioned 114 MWp of solar PV capacity, against deployments of 101 MWp in 2022, its annual financial report shows.
