Bulgaria is ready to expand cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina in defense and security: Rumen Radev

Bulgaria is ready to expand cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina in defense and security with a view to Sarajevo’s Euro-Atlantic prospects and to share its experience in the attainment of high NATO standards.

This is what Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said at a meeting in Sofia with the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdic.

It was made clear during the talks that Bulgaria was working on a catalogue featuring the opportunities for education, qualification and training in the country in security and defense which would be useful for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Radev and Zvizdic have agreed that bilateral economic cooperation has an untapped potential and that commodity exchange which is roughly 150 million euro per annum is far from its actual potential.

Bulgaria was the first country which in 1992 recognized independent and sovereign Bosnia and Herzegovina.
