WATCH: All of Trump's bad tics were on display during his NATO meeting

President Donald Trump fumbled repeatedly during his meeting with the secretary of NATO on Tuesday with mispronounced words, phony claims about his father's nationality and a strange directive about getting rid of judges.

Vox's Aaron Rupar reported Tuesday that "even by Trump’s standards, it was a troubling performance."

Along with his strange reversal of statements made just days prior about how much money America stands to gain or lose if he closes the US border with Mexico, Trump also baselessly accused "the governments of Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala of conspiring to send migrant caravans toward America’s southern border," Rupar wrote.

When talking about his border closure threat, Trump also appeared to claim that he wanted to "get rid of judges."

"What we have to do is Congress has to meet quickly and make a deal," the president said. "To be honest with you, we have to get rid of judges."

While issuing his usual complaints about Germany not spending enough amid its NATO allyship, Trump bizarrely — and incorrectly — claimed his father was born there.

“My father is German, was German,” Trump said. “Born in a very wonderful place in Germany.”

The president "was either lying or confused," the writer noted, adding that "Fred Trump was born in New York City."

Later in the televised meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Trump mispronounced "origins" as "oranges" when complaining about special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.
