April 16 (SeeNews) - Moldova's trade deficit fell by 3.1% on the year in the first two months of 2024, to $773.7 million (725.9 million euro), the statistical office said on Tuesday.
Moldova's exports were 12.5% lower year-on-year in the period January-February, while imports decreased by 7.5%, the statistical office said in a statement.
In February alone, exports fell by 8.1% on the year to $327.2 million, while imports inched down by 0.1% to $751.9 million, increasing the trade deficit by an annual 7.1% to $424.7 million.
