Due to changes in the global oil market, currency depreciation, and reductions in subsidies, several African countries saw an increase in fuel cost for the month, in line with the increase in global average fuel price.

Almost every industry is impacted by these rising costs, from agriculture to transportation, which exacerbates inflation and worsens economic hardship.

One of the most obvious consequences of rising gas prices is an increase in the cost of living.

Since companies raise prices to offset increased production and transportation expenses, expensive fuel plays a major role in inflation.

Growing gasoline prices worsen economic instability in nations like Nigeria, where inflation has been a significant challenge.
