Illinois has made the NCAA Tournament five straight seasons. And would've been six if not for COVID-19 cancelling the 2020 invitational.

However, after tasting the Elite 8 last season, the Illini want more.

Illinois is a six-seed in the Midwest Region. First up is either Xavier/Texas, and likely be favored.

If they win, a likely matchup with 3-seed Kentucky awaits.
