MIAMI, FL, USA, December 18, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- ArtPalmBeach announces the 2019 Collector Lecture and Event schedule of engaging interactive talks and lectures, artists panel discussions, art performances, film screenings, book signings and live paintings. This series explores relevant topics and introducing our attendees to a broad range of themes related to collecting contemporary and modern art, and many social and environmental issues including the Opioid crisis, global warming, and over-consumption.

Launching the series on Thursday, January 17 will be lecture and presentation by Birgette Bjerregard, Director of DesignWERCK, who will be exhibiting in our DESIGN pavilion this year. Birgette will be discussing her lifelong appreciation for Nordic design as how it correlates to her professional experience as an author and curator. Attendees can also pop by for screenings of filmmaker and director Robert Adanto’s films, "Born Just Now" and "The “F” Word". An art performance by Danish visual artist Lilibeth Rasmussen on Saturday, Jan. 19 will explore over-consumption of textiles and other socio-cultural issues plaguing the Western World. She will also be delivering an interactive talk alongside this year’s guest curator, Erich Weiss of the Picasso Museum in Barcelona. Weiss will also be giving a lecture on about video art, in accordance with one of the fair’s new pavilion for historical and current art videos called FLOW.

Book-signings, special Kabinett speakers, and even a live podcast series broadcast are also in the works for the 22nd edition of the fair, held annually at the Palm Beach Convention Center. Since the inaugural edition, ArtPalmBeach’s five-day program has been dedicated to introducing collectors to world-renowned art historians, museum professionals, filmmakers, and artists, among other influential players in the art community. The fair runs from January 16 – 20, 2019, from 12 PM – 7 PM, closing out at 6 PM on Sunday. Opening night will kick things off with a Collector’s First View from 6 – 10 PM, where we will be honoring this year’s Visionary Award Recipient, Mr. Jeff Greene.
